Dr. Amy Lewis is a sports medicine chiropractor specializing in the treatment and prevention of athletic injures, and in the application of optimizing athletic performance. Originally from Arkansas, Dr. Lewis has traveled across the globe to treat athletes of all levels.
Dr. Lewis began her athletic career at an early age, taking the title of 12-13 year old Arkansas State Golf Champion and placing fourth nationally later that year. As a high school freshman she was awarded as an All-State golfer helping her team take the title of State Champions. Later in her athletic career she was also awarded with an All-State title in basketball and was a high school letterman in golf, basketball, track and field, and soccer. After sustaining an injury her senior year she spent the majority of the year sitting out of athletics until finally seeking care from a Chiropractor. After seeking care, she said “I was immediately feeling better! It was then that I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life.”
After attending the University of Arkansas where she worked with the chiropractic staff for the Razorbacks, Dr. Lewis attended the Parker College of Chiropractic where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree, as well as, a Bachelors’ in Health Science with an emphasis on Health and Wellness. Dr. Lewis is a Certified Graston Provider, Kinesio Taping® method, and most recently, Webster Technique . She is currently a member of the Texas Chiropractic Association and American Chiropractic Association.
In addition to traditional chiropractic adjusting techniques, Dr. Amy Lewis also specializes in other therapies, such as: Graston, Myofacial release, Kinesio Taping®, biomechanical analysis, nutrition and corrective exercise in order to effectively help her patients with current complaints and prevention of new injuries. She also works with pregnant women to alleviate any pre-natal issues.
Dr. Johnathen Baggett
Dr. Johnathen Baggett is a dedicated sports chiropractor with a unique background in both football and cheerleading. With a deep understanding of the physical demands and injuries associated with these high-intensity sports, Dr. Johnathen is committed to helping athletes achieve peak performance and optimal health. Dr. Johnathen’s journey into sports chiropractic began with a passion for athletics. As a former division 1 cheerleader and football player, Dr. Johnathen experienced firsthand the rigorous training and physical toll these sports can take on the body. Dr. Johnathen experienced a low back injury from squatting while training for football and after several different avenues to find a solution, chiropractic was the only thing that relieved the pain, and from that point on, he knew he wanted to become a chiropractor and help others out of pain and enhance their athletic performance.
Dr. Johnathen earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Parker University, where he took an interest in the sports medicine and rehabilitation. During his schooling, Dr. Johnathen completed extensive course work in biomechanics, injury prevention, and advanced chiropractic techniques. With over 8 years of experience, Dr. Johnathen has worked with athletes at all levels, from youth sports to professional level. He has provided care and coaching to football players, cheerleaders, golfers and various types of other athletes, helping them recover from injuries, improve flexibility, and enhance overall performance.
Lisa
Exercise Physiologist
A native of the Philippines, Lisa received her B.S as a physical therapist from Cebu Doctor’s University. A member of Dr. Mixon’s staff since 2014, Lisa now dedicates herself to helping patients increase range of motion and flexibility. Each patient will enjoy one-on-one time with Lisa following their appointment with Dr. Mixon. During this time she will answer your questions while massaging away stiffness and tight muscles. For the truly motivated, she’ll prepare a series of at-home exercises!
